Intake/Records Coordinator

Scope of Work
This position enjoys a fast paced and dynamic home health work environment and is able to multi-task routinely. This position requires the ability to build and maintain good rapport with the referral sources as well as the ability to make follow-up calls frequently to assess the customers' needs for our services. Relationship building is key to this position and the person in this position must be capable of maintaining relationships internally and externally and have some knowledge of home health referral sources in the community. Obtain accurate client data, perform insurance eligibility verification/ receive authorizations as necessary, input data into computer system, prepare the new admission file and schedule initial visit with the professional skilled care team.  Additionally, the position routinely follows up on physician orders and documents the receipt of those orders in the clinical software for billing.  

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED
  • Knowledge and experience with Microsoft applications (Word, Excel, Outlook)
  • Fluent in English (verbal, writing and reading)
  • Excellent Interpersonal Skills
  • Excellent Customer Service Skills

Preferred:

  • Knowledge of Medical Terminology
  • Experience working in Home Health Environment
